Beyond Verbal (BV) is a research-based art project bringing together artists and pre-school teachers to develop new strategies for early childhood education with a special focus on gender equality and conclusion.

 

Beyond Verbal is an exchange and cooperation between preschools, independent art organizations, and universities in Stockholm - Rinkeby, Istanbul - Tarlabasi, and Aarhus – Gellerup with a special focus on gender equality and inclusion.

Beyond Verbal is a creative tool for educators, especially in socio-economically challenged areas. The tool offers an innovative methodology to develop gender equality, break standards and create a more inclusive environment for early childhood education and care. It has been developed through a two-year-long collaborative research process, using contemporary art participatory processes as methodology, between preschools, independent art organizations, and universities in Rinkeby (SE), Tarlabasi (TR), and Gellerup (DK).
